They're gonna die anyway, why take these precautions?

Why do they sterilize the needles for lethal injection?
This is honestly a great question.
They're going to die anyway, why take the time to make sure the needle is clean?
It wouldn't matter.
I guess there is always that small chance that if the person is going to donate their body to science, that anything on the needle could destroy or harm the body. But how? If the human is dead, nothing more can happen to it except decomposition, right?
This subject truly has more to it than meets the eye, and frankly, I don't know enough about the relationship between bacteria and the human body (whether it's dead or alive).
Granted, I am trying to think of ways that the in-sterilized needle can botch the donation, but I just cannot think of any.
My basic belief is, the body is dead, so there is nothing the harmful bacteria can do to it. Doesn't bacteria need something living to thrive? (Now, don't get me wrong, I realize bacteria is one of the man components to decomposition, but still..)
Now, I apologize for the short post, but my knowledge in this field is quite limited.
So i bid thee adieu.

Clone Murder or Clone Suicide?

If a person kills their clone is it murder or suicide?
this is an interesting thing because it can go both ways depending on how you look at it. Some people say it is murder because even though it is a clone, they are still 2 different beings. The experiences you live through shape your life even though you don't realize it at the moment. So, If you were cloned it is nearly impossible for your clone to live through the exact same experience and take away exactly what you did. It would be extremely difficult. Now, with that fact in mind, your clone would be very different from you. Sure you two share the same looks, but not the same personality. So, if you are killing them, you are killing, in a way, just your doppelganger. Doppelgangers are things/people that look like you, but their personality is different. So, it would be considered murder.
Other people would see it as suicide. Those who won't look at it through the eyes of science, won't see the large flaws of cloning. So they will say it is suicide because all they know about cloning is that it is a being that has the exact same genes as you do. With that in mind, they might automatically assume that, because of those genes, the clone will act and be exactly like you. So, they would see the killing of that clone as suicide; ridding the world of your other self.
This controversy can be argued over many times and almost forever. But I have shown both sides.
Now it is your turn.
What do you think?
What is your opinion?
Why?
When you are killing your clone, Are you committing murder?
Or is it just suicide?

Dream Saviors

What are these strange devices?
These odd, woven, feather decorated, items that hang from nails in a wall?
They say they catch the bad dreams and lets the good ones flow... But who can prove this? I guess no one can, but the idea that someone created this beautiful work of art is amazing.
What if in a different demension, the dreams that the dream catchers catch are held and alive...
Would that place be scary?? Like full of monsters, horrors, and other frightful things?
Or will it be filled with things we'd rather not think about whilst in our vacation escape that we call our dreams? Such as the bills, undone homework, or a love that isn't and will never work out?
Would it be a sorrowful place? Filled with the saddening memories of our lost loved ones? Are the dream catchers supposed to help us have better dreams?
Or are they really supposed to help us forget?
To help us forget everything that's burdening us, if only for a short while.
Does it give us that imaginary bliss of a perfect world?
Does it shelter us from evil?
Does it do anything at all?
Many people have their own opinions on this matter. Most think it's just spiritual mumbo-jumbo...
I think differently.
I think the natives knew something was going on with these magical little devices. I think they realized that it actually has these powers to help us.
That is why I actually own one; it hangs down from my ceiling fan, blowing in the constant wind.
Does it protect me?
I'd like to think so.
I, like many others, would love it I something could take away, even if it's only temporary, the badness of this world. The pain, the suffering, and allow only the bright happiness filter through like sun on a warm autumn day.
I think we all deserve that moment of happiness, for we all go through so much.
Maybe this thing is the key...
The key to clarity.
To health.
To happiness....

Kittens, Oh My!

Is it possible to force an animal to love you like its own parent? I know that for birds there is that whole "imprinting" thing, but what about animals like my own cat?
I have a cat named Roku. He is almost a year and a half old. He is a black and white farm cat I got for my birthday. I've known him since he was 2 weeks old.
To explain even further, ever since I was a child, I've wanted a pet of my very own. That means it has to love me the most and want to be around me.
So when I first saw Roku, I knew it had to start ASAP. So I started handling him a lot and making him comfortable In my presence. Now, when I took him home a month later, I told my whole family, "only I can feed him, give him water, play with him, change his litter box, and I must be the first person he sees everyday and the last one he sees."
My family thought I was crazy, but they obliged to my wishes.
So, in addition to the 100% me time with him, I also mimicked the sounds his mom would make to him.
Now Roku is older and he treats me like royalty. I'm his Favorite person in the household, he comes when I whistle/call his name, he loves my room, and he cuddles with only me.
Now, I know you would think that it is possible to force an animal to love you, but this is just one example. What if everything I did had no effect and he just likes me because he can?
Maybe he likes me cause I was the nicest to him. I mean, you can't force an animal to love you of you're cruel to them. That's just not possible (and it's mean too!!).
I don't know if what I did would work on other animals... I do notice that Roku adores my father. Is it because they're both males? Ya know... That odd male-bond-thing  that they all seem to have with each other... It's weird. Roku still prefers me, but he will sometimes choose my father over me. And nothing I do can change his opinion!
Maybe you can't force anything.
Maybe it's just the time spent and the memories made with the animal that really creates that bond. For love is true, especially when you both share an equal affection for each other.
(And in my case, Roku is my baby boy and I seem to be his mommy!)
Here is a nice picture of him sleeping on my bed while I write this blog entry.
His love is truley eternal.
Cats.
They're awesome.

Tattoos

Why are so many people against tattoos? What makes them hate the idea so much? Tattoos are just another form of art, why should it be hated? No one really hates painting or drawings, but they hate tattoos. A reason could be because this art is specifically on human skin and also the fact that it is permanent, however, art is art, no matter what type of media you use.
I can understand that there are a lot of dumb people in the world who get a lot of dumb and inappropriate tattoos, and when that is the case, I am against tattoos.
For example, I was at a waterpark a few years ago, waiting in line to go on a waterslide. An adult man was infront of me and i couldnt help but notice that he had a lot of tattoos on his body. This wouldn't have bothered me, however, I looked closer and saw multiple naked women.
That disgusted me.
Why would you tattoo multiple pictures of naked women on your body? Do you think you're cool? Do you think it will attract girls?
NO.
Nope.
NOT AT ALL.
It is freaking creepy. No one wants to see that!! It is gross and frankly that man looked like white trash.
Would I have wanted to strike up a conversation with that man?
HELL TO THE NO.
All becasue he had a ton of naked women tattooed on his arms and back.
However, If you are a fan of tattoos and you get beautiful pictures, I don't have any ill-feelings towards you.
Some tattoos can be dazzlingly beautiful.
These are nice examples of beautiful tattoos. These are works of art by a true artist.
Kudos to them.

Clouds

Clouds.
We all know what they are.
The fluffy, cotton ball like things that roam our skies.
We love them.
We hate them.
But we always notice them.
Sometimes on nice summer days, we curse them because we want the sun to tan our skin.
On cool fall days, we love them and their fluffy being. So beautiful against the pale blue sky. How they float however they want and wherever they want. Their being is truly free. Wouldn't we love to be up there? Be up there among the cotton and clean air? Where there isn't any sound to disrupt that beautiful moment that you and the clouds have.
Just icy, weightless bliss.
But what if clouds were solid enough to hold us? What if we could just zoom up there with our friends and enjoy a nice little picnic on top of the clouds? Would it be like jumping on a trampoline? Could we bounce around, to and fro, as if we were weightless?
Weightless with no cares in the world?
Maybe there is a castle in the sky. A magical castle that is built out of clouds and floats around.
wouldn't that be something else? I would want to visit that castle.
Befriend the person who owns it.
Because why not?
We all like our clouds anyway.
