Warm Nights and Starry Skies

I think I speak for us all when I say I cannot wait until summer.
The one thing that I have been obsessed with recently, however, is star-gazing. Now, I think we all agree that the best time to do this is on warm, clear, nights.
It all started this year, on a whim actually, and I decided to climb out of my window and onto the roof. It was a calm, warm, and clear night. I took a blanket out with me, a few lanterns, and a can of Dr. Pepper. I expected that I would need the lanterns to enable me to see, but what I did not consider, was the moon. It wasn't even full (First quarter, maybe), but it shined like nothing else. Once my eyes fully adjusted, there wasn't anything I couldn't see. It amazed me because we all live in a world where we fear the dark and use artificial light to chase it away, that we all have forgotten just how bright the moon can really shine.
I lay there, on my blanket, and I stared up into the sky.
I saw the stars.
I saw them shine and gleam, their old light reaching us from distances far greater than we can imagine. The more I stared, the more they appeared. I was in awe. I found the Big Dipper and marveled as his brightness and shape. He then pointed me to his lesser self and I couldn't help but be amazed. What are the chances of two constellations looking almost exactly the same? But despite all of that, here they were.
The Big Dipper and the Little Dipper.
Twins except for their size.
Truly amazing and I loved every moment of it.
I stayed out there for a while, soaking in the soothing scent of night and basking in the moons’ rays.
But like everything else, it had to end.
I picked up and went inside with a heavy heart.
However, I will never forget that experience.
I urge all of you to go out this summer and just gaze at the beautiful stars.
It is a beautiful thing that all humans should experience.
I want you to get out of your city and look at the stars.
I want you all to relax and see the beauty.

Do You Feel the Air We Breathe?

Our world is a pretty amazing place. It sustains live, has breathable air, flowing water, and beautiful scenery. But one thing I really noticed this past weekend was the wind.
I noticed this when I was on my way, with my family, to a graduation party. We were in my father’s big pick-up truck and I was sitting in the back. It was a gorgeous day out so hey, I rolled down the giant window right next to me.
And it literally hit me.
The wind.
It was warm and comforting like a silk blanket and it had a sweet scent to it like honey. I couldn't stop myself from closing my eyes and inhaling as much of that wind as I could. I let it blow across my face and through my hair.
I couldn't stop smiling.
I rested my head against the back of the window and just breathed. It was an intoxicating experience and I refused to roll up my window even when my father told me that we had the air conditioning on.
I don’t know what it is about the wind, but I can’t help but be literally swept off of my feet and into the sky. It is the pinnacle of freedom; It can go wherever it wants and however fast it wants it to. It seems to me that when the wind literally “pulls” you, it is actually begging you to join it. Begging you to leap up into the sky and dance with it. Dancing in the sky with your hair flowing around you, a smile across your face, and your soul and spirit being totally free.
What could be better than that?
I pondered all of this on the ride to the party (which took about 30 minutes to get there and I wasn’t complaining.) and I let the wind caress me with its soft gusts. It was almost like it went right through me and lifted my spirits. It made me feel utterly giddy, which is an emotion I thought I had lost.
And I let it.
I let it go through me and lift me up.
I allowed it to make me smile.
I let myself enjoy it.
And I did.
Now, I don’t know about you, but if I had to choose between wind in the car and wind on a hill, I would choose the hill. When you are in nature the wind is 100% different. It still has its soft satiny feel and its sweet honey scent; but when you are in nature, all of this intensifies. It then becomes the most beautiful and calming thing in the world.
So my advice to you, my bloggies:
Go out on a warm, sunny, windy day.
Go out and find a hill and let the wind take you away.

A Blank Mind

Have you ever sat down, fully intending to create something, and poof!
Nothing.
Not a single idea is coming to your mind. No moment of enlightenment to give you an extremely creative idea that you can create and call your own.
Your mind is completely and utterly blank.
This is my struggle right now.
My mind is not wanting to ponder things at the moment.
No creative thought is getting produced within the pink flesh of my brain.
My mind is completely and utterly blank.
It is almost a feeling of helplessness.
Despair.
Your mind, which can create the craziest scenarios as to why your crush isn’t texting you back, cannot come up with one single topic to talk about.
It is almost comical to think about.
I can already tell, as so can you, that this blog post is going to be an extremely short one.
Actually, right now I am really just typing down what comes to my mind. (Which is dangerous for both of us)
So I shall call this one good. Unfortunately I have nothing more to say. (Or at least I can’t think of anything else to say.)
So I bid thee a great week!
And I shall see you all, whoever you are, next time!

Why Are We Together, but Totally Isolated?

Sometimes, when I am in a room with my peers, I look around and drink in what’s happening.
Nothing.
All I really see is a bunch of teenagers sitting slumped in chairs staring at white, blank screens. Occasionally scrolling up or down, sometimes a rare and quick smile flashes across their face.
And as I am sitting here, in this room full of people, I realize that I am completely alone. I may be in the company of twenty or so people, but they’re not really there. They are all in their digitalized world, communicating with each other without making contact. You attempt to make conversation with a person, but they never look up at you from their device, and if they do, it is only for a brief period of three seconds or less.
It is this action that can offend people. Is that person who is desperately trying to have a conversation with you not important enough to you? Do you really favor your electronic things to a human that wants to make a connection with you? How can you be so inconsiderate to not even see this happening?
Just recently, I asked a friend to hang out with me. We were at my house watching movies, discussing them, and having a pretty good time. However, the one thing that bothered me the most was how often they picked up their iPod or phone and either texted or checked some sort of social media. Really, it didn't bother me  that much, but I couldn't help but think, “I asked you to hang out and you agreed, shouldn't it just be us two instead of all of your social media and texting buddies?”
Because usually when I ask to hang out with someone, I want it to be just us two.
No distractions.
No other humans (unless they’re invited)
Just us, making human conversation and forming a real bond.
However, I can see that I am the minority when it comes to my thinking.
And I admit that whenever I myself am in an awkward situation, I get on my IPod to distract myself.
Hell, I am even blogging right now on a computer when I could be talking to the person sitting next to me.
But next time when you walk into a room, look around at the people on their phones, IPods, IPads, etc., and truly realize the extent of your aloneness.
Feel the absence of those humans’ company.
Let it soak in,
And let it change you for the better.

The Depth Of Your Being

“The most astounding fact is the knowledge that the atoms that comprise life on Earth, the atoms that make up the human body, are traceable to the crucibles that cooked light elements into heavy elements in their core under extreme temperatures and pressures. These stars, the high mass ones among them went unstable in their later years they collapsed and then exploded scattering their enriched guts across the galaxy guts made of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and all the fundamental ingredients of life itself. These ingredients become part of gas cloud that condense, collapse, form the next generation of solar systems stars with orbiting planets, and those planets now have the ingredients for life itself. So that when I look up at the night sky and I know that yes, we are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up – many people feel small because they’re small and the Universe is big – but I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars. There’s a level of connectivity. That’s really what you want in life, you want to feel connected, and you want to feel relevant you want to feel like a participant in the goings on of activities and events around you. That’s precisely what we are, just by being alive…”

-Neil DeGrasse Tyson

I want you all to go right now to this video and watch it. I want you to watch it and take in every word, every image that is shown.
And I want you to ponder.
Ponder what he says. Ponder what is shown to you, for the things he says are truly worth thinking about. He is basically saying that we, us lowly Homo sapiens, are the universe. We are all connected in some crazy weird way, and that way is in the fact that a star went supernova, and gave its ingredients to create our planet so that it could sustain life; our life.

It’s alright if you cry while watching this video, I did too. It is also okay to watch it more than once, for I did too. I went to my room, locked the door, blocked out all visible light, and I just played it over and over again. It has a soothing feel to it, but if you truly think about what is being said, It can really put your mind, body, and soul at rest too.

Your Own Company For Company

I am not talking about a company that you can own or work for, I am talking about your own self.
Your own company.
Being by yourself.
Now, if you look around, society has seemed to deem it odd if you don’t have enough friends or if you don’t go out enough. They have even gone to the lengths to call those people “Introverts”. By giving these people that label, it would seem as if it was an insult. However, that is not the case. An introvert is a shy and reticent person. So in a nutshell, they prefer their own company than that of others. Is there anything wrong with that?
Absolutely not.
Then why have we deemed it such a bad thing? Why can we not just go out alone without receiving odd stares or glances? Personally, I can only take so much of the human race before I feel like I’m going to kill someone! So I find that some alone time is much needed and frankly, it is quite relaxing. I find that if I surround myself with too many people, I become lost in the crowd. It’s hard to be in a group. Now I am not saying to avoid all group contact all together; no. All I am saying is that both cases can be good for your sanity in equally portioned doses. Maybe one week you are totally social, talking to everyone and having a great time! But then you kind of get sick of those people, so the next week you kind of lay low and spend time with yourself. Or, if you never like to be completely alone, you can hang with one or two of your closer friends. There is never a wrong way to hang out. Hell, if you are a total social butterfly and never tire of being around people, good for you! Keep on doing what you love to do! If you prefer being alone most of the time, that’s awesome. Keep on doing that! I am not trying to say that you HAVE to be social or that you HAVE to spend time with yourself; I am just trying to show people that is doesn't matter how often you hang with people, as long as you are happy with where you are now, you should not feel bad about how often you go out.
Now, I wish all of you a grand day.

Limitless Imagination

Our minds can do the most amazing things, but the one thing that will never cease to amaze me is the amount of creativity it has. Its imagination can create the most amazing things. It can create things that never were, things that are, and things that will be.
But the best part is what it can do with that idea once it has it.
I shall begin this pondering with a nice and quick short story.
Recently I was talking to a friend and I asked him, “If you could have any animal as a pet, real or fake, what would it be?”
He listed off a few choice animals, but he really caught my attention when he said “a dragon”.
(Now, for those who know me, I am extremely obsessed with dragons)
So, me being me, I delved deeper into what his dragon was. I asked him what it looked like, how big it was, what body type did it have, the color of eyes, color of skin, size of his wings, and if he had any “special features” or not.  He very politely dealt with all of these questions and answered each one truthfully and, to my delight, very detailed.
(Now, you may also recall that I also dabble in drawing. I am not amazing by any means, but I try my hardest!)
So, after he has answered all of my extremely specific questions, I began my quest to draw his dragon.
Now, you may think, “what does a dragon have to do with imagination?”
WELL.
I am here to tell you that dragons are probably the most imaginative creature ever to exist. Why? Because you can literally put anything on a dragon and it will still be considered a dragon. When it comes to these beasts, there is literally no limit to what they can do or look like. What I am trying to get at is that the brain is so amazing, that it can create multiple types of dragons in one minute. Some can have beaks, others a long snout. Some may have giant bat wings, others can have bird wings. Some have four legs, some have none and the combinations keep going on and on and on!
Never-ending.

Now, I shall show you the prototype of my friends’ dragon. I showed him many drafts and he told me what to adjust so it would be a perfect representation of what he saw.
There you go! Hope y'all enjoy him!
Until later my bloggies!!

What if We Could See Our Own Stars?

Now, don’t start to think that I mean our own tiny individual stars that we keep in our pockets.
No.
What I mean is that we humans are made from the galaxy, the universe. We have stardust in our blood, a comets’ ion tail in our hair, and galaxies in our eyes. We are made up of the vast and beautiful frontier that is our universe. (Now, I am not trying to go against anyone’s belief. If you believe God or whatever made us that is fine-diddly-dandy. But I believe the Big Bang created everything, so that’s what I am going off of; science.)
But what if whenever we looked at someone, we could see it? What if you could see the sparkling stardust in their already silky hair? What if you could see the galaxies shine in their bright eyes? Do you think we would be glowing? Would we shine as bright as the suns we are made of? Or would it be a soft, gentle glow that gives off an almost warm and comforting feeling?
How would this effect our perception of each other as fellow Homo sapiens? Would we try to compare the color of our stardust to that other persons?
“OMG, Sally has such an ordinary color of stardust, I know she wishes she had gold like mine!”
Or would we complement each other on the amazing sparkle of the galaxy in our eyes?
“Gosh Myah, your eyes are the most brilliant shade of green, and with the galaxy adding a hint of gold, you look even more stunning.”
While this all seems fine and dandy, what if that possibility actually exists? Humans have a very limited range of sight on the spectrum. There is so much more that we could see! What if we could see all levels of the spectrum? We could see almost any color, no matter how little it is. Our world would open up in brilliant hues of scarlet red and electric blues, but would it also open up our eyes to the mini galaxies we hold within ourselves? Will we ever be able to see the sparkling stars in each other’s eyes? I personally would hope so. I would love to look into your blue eyes and see the comets dust and the stars’ glint in them. That beauty should be viable to us because we all deserve to see our true being.
Until next time,

Blog on my babes!

Liquids

Such a strange substance water is.
It's clear, flowing, moving, life sustaining, but what I'm here to talk about is more than just the general use of water.
I'm here to talk about the effects of it in our mind and spirit.
Being a swimmer, I'm around water a lot. Not just around it but in it. Sometimes while I'm swimming those laps, I forget about what substance I'm in. I forget about the feeling, the smell, the taste. And for a second, I feel as if I'm floating in air. I sometimes forget that I just need to slow it down sometimes and really absorb what the water is doing.
When I still had free time (which was a long time ago) I would go to the deep end of the pool, dive in, and just stay there. Stay there, underwater, and feel everything. I could feel the currents move around me, I could hear the splashes of others in the shallow end, and I could sense something else.
I never knew what that something else was until recently; that something else was, and is, the universe. Being underwater is like being in space. You're weightless, there is almost no sound, and the darkness is just pressing in on you.
However, this never scared me. My sences came to life down in that deep end and I felt different.
I felt in tune with my surroundings.
I felt At peace with my mind.
I felt free.
I could do anything.
If I wanted to to a septuple flip, I could!!
If I wanted to be a mermaid, I could!
The feel of the water on your body eventually fades until you cannot feel it at all. It feels like air.
The currents turn into breezes.
The sounds turn into distant and unimportant traffic.
But this clarity; this freedom, can be obtained at any time.
Some (by some I obviously mean most) people think that they do not have enough time in their life to take a quick dip in a pool.
Well I say, make time.
The effects of the water is much more than just relaxing, it's eye opening.
It's tranquility that is hard to find.
So this may not seem like a ponder, so here's the question I'll leave you with:
Do you think your body needs water, not only in the intake of it, but in the immersion of it?
Think about that.
Blog on.
Water's Strong.

Darkness

Why are humans so afraid of the dark? what is it that scares us so? Many people would argue that it isn't the dark that they're afraid of, It's whats in it that gives them goosebumps. I guess that is what we get for always having light. Almost 24/7 every single day, we are surrounded by light. It is always shining, always illuminating us in its warm glow. But one would think that, now with today's technology, that our fear of something that you can't even hold should be gone!
That is totally wrong. Ever since our Ape-like ancestors walked this earth, we have feared the dark. To those cavemen, if you went out in the dark, you would die. This is probably a learned behavior, due to the fact that maybe whenever one of them did leave, they almost never came back. Now, with enough repetition, this behavior is now embedded into our genetic code. So this means that people who claim that they were never afraid of the dark are lying.
Everyone was afraid of the dark.
Sure, you can overcome your fear. you can overcome any fear! But if they claim that they were NEVER EVER afraid of the dark, they are totally big fat liars who cannot admit to their own weaknesses. But let me make this very clear, fears are not weaknesses. They are something that were there for a reason. to protect you. but now a days you may not need that protection.
So over come your fear of the dark.
Take the trash to the curb at night.
Walk your dog at night.
Lay out at night and look at the stars.
Over come it.
You can be stronger than this.
The dark can be your friend,
your ally.
All you need to do is embrace it. Accept the fact that you are scared. Be aware of how your body is reacting. Accept it, then overcome it.
Humans do not have to be afraid of the dark anymore.
I hope you all overcome at least one fear in your life.
For when you do, that feeling of accomplishment is unparalleled to anything else.
You will feel like you can do anything.
So get out there.
Conquer it.

Are Our Heads Trying to Tell Us Something?

No one likes these.
They're annoying.
They hurt.
They affect our focus.
They just suck.
Headaches need to be un-invented.
But what if the reason we get headaches is because we aren't using our knowledge or creativity enough?
What if the pulsing pain is from all of those creative ideas just waiting to explode?
What would our opinions on headaches be then?
Would we still hate them?
Or would we welcome them?
That beautiful burst of creativity could've come from that irritating and painful experience!! However, would you regret having that pain?
Would you want more?
Would people then get addicted to headaches?
Would it become just another way to get money?
Perhaps.
However, if your use your creativity enough, you shouldn't even get headaches in the first place. Personally, I get very few headaches. The odd thing is  that I am always doodling. Always using my imagination. always being creative!!!
Now, I feel bad for those who aren't creative and imaginative. Imagine all Of the headaches they'd get!!
they might need to get some aspirin,
However, this theory is most likely false because as I am writing this, I am getting a headache. My eyes itch and burn and my head is starting to pound.
I should probably stop typing, so I will.
Blog on babes and please enjoy this nice drawing!!

Earth Day

Well, since it is Earth Day, I decided to dedicate a whole post to our glorious planet. The Earth has many things for me to ponder about. The ocean, for example, is so vast and so deep that we know more about our own moon than we do our own ocean! Isn't that crazy? the deep murky depths of the ocean holds secrets that no one has heard. It holds treasures that are yet to be found. Will we ever discover what these secrets and treasures are? Perhaps not!
Maybe there actually are mermaids in our sea! Creatures with fish tails and gills that hunt the fish in the deep. These creatures have been talked and debated about since almost forever. They are usually depicted as beautiful women with fish tails that lure men into the deep so that they can kill them. but what if that isn't the case?
What if, in actuality, they are quite ugly and horrific? They could have these pale, flat, faces and gills. With creepy, slimy, moss-green hair! We might never know! but hopefully in the near future, we will have the technology needed to find these things and offer a great peace offering.
Or maybe, we could find the LEVIATHAN.
Leviathan is a sea monster referenced in the Tanakh, or the Old Testament. The word has become synonymous with any large sea monster or creature. In literature it refers to great whales, and in Modern Hebrew, it simply means "whale". Many people who read the bible will remember reading about this mighty monster. It is said that he is so large that he can circle around the whole world and grab his own tail in his mouth. Even God is said to fear him.
Does this beast exist? Many would hope not, but think about it. He could be hiding. In the Mariana Trench, the depth can go up to more than the height of Mt. Everest! And it also goes to say that we haven't even scratched the surface of our deepest trench! He could be hiding down there.
Waiting.
Waiting for us to come and discover his magnificence.
Now it is time that i ask you;
Do you believe?
Do you think these creatures, and more, are waiting for us at the bottom of the ocean?
Do you think we will ever become technologically advanced enough to ever find out?
Maybe.
Maybe not.

Night Time Bliss

Sleep is a very needed thing.
I find that funny and ironic because I'm staying up especially late to get this blog done.
Not only does sleep regenerate our bodies and minds, but it unlocks the doors to our imagination.
Our dreams and worlds that are entirely our own. We create it. We run it. It's ours.
No one can influence our dreams. No one can just enter our dream and take control.
No.
That dream is ours. Sometimes you love it so much, you don't want to wake up.
Sometimes dreams are better than reality. And is that sad?
In a sense, yes.
But that's usually the case for us Homo sapiens.
Our imaginations tend to illustrate our deepest desires and wants. seeing these things "come to life" In our dreams just proves to us that life would be better with these ideas/things. However these things aren't possible in this world, so we tend to want to stay in our dreams.
Our dreams, which are warm and comfortable.
Sure some may seem bad at the time, but they always end up giving you an amazing experience.
An experience you'll never forget.  These dreams are your raw imagination.
Let it flow.
Let it grow.
Let it travel.
And let yourself drown in its tranquil depths.
Let yourself flow.
Learn.
Live.
Be.
Sleep?
Yeah. It's important.
I cannot imagine a world where dreaming is nonexistent.
That world probably lacks colors.
Life.
Beauty.
Soul.
that world wouldn't be worth living in.
I, personally, would want to leave.
A world like that is no world for me.
It shouldn't be a world for anyone.
We all dream, why not embrace it?
sorry for the quick little thought, but it had to be said!
Dream on my bloggies.
Dream on and be free.
Free of mind.
Spirit.
And cares...
Myah out.

Time Is the Master

3.156e+18 Nanoseconds,
3.156e+15 Microseconds,
3.156e+12 Milliseconds,
3.156e+9 Seconds,
5.259e+7 Minutes,
876,581 Hours,
36,524 Days,
5,218 Weeks,
1,200 Months,
100 Years,
10 Decades,
1 Century.
Time.
A weird thing that you can neither grasp, nor escape from.
An odd thing that humans created to make some things easier. You can pinpoint the exact time of tides, you can see the times that a movie is playing, you can arrange a time to hang out with a friend, you can time a runner and you can find the time of death.
Time, it seems, rules all.
But time can control you.
Recently, people have been getting obsessed with time. They can't find the time to spend time with their family, or you didn't have enough time to do your homework. You have to be at work or school at this specific time or you will be late. Things open and close at very specific times and people are told they will die at this time.
It rules us.
It controls us.
But what if we never had time?
Would life be better if it was never invented?
Maybe instead of feeling trapped within a 24 hour period every day, we could just go with the flow of day and night. Have fun without a care that you'll be late for your curfew or that you'll be late for school.
I have learned that when people are enjoying themselves, they forget about time all-together. They are too joyful to care about what time it is or how much has passed.
So the saying is true. Time does fly when you're having fun.
But what about catching planes? Or knowing movie times?
I guess sometimes, in order to have fun, you have to know the time.
What do you think?
Is time a curse or is it a gift?

Colors

Being humans, we can see a wide range of colors, ranging from the bloodiest red to the deepest blue and any color in-between. We have different shades of every basic color.
Our basic colors are: Red, Green, Orange, Blue, Black, Gray, and Yellow. And apparently there are MULITPLE shades of every color. There is a Timberwolf Grey, A Macaroni and Cheese Yellow, A Blizzard Blue, a Granny Smith Apple Green, a Razzmatazz Red, a Neon Carrot Orange, and tons of other crazy colors.
Now, if you ask me what the different between Mountain Meadow and Magic Mint was, I am afraid that I could not tell you. Their differences may be as miniscule as a single shade. ONE thing could be different about them, yet their colors are quite different when we see them. Isn't that amazing?
And what's more amazing is that every single color stems from the mother of all colors.
White.
White is the basis of all color. Some dude awhile ago discovered this when he held one of his prism crystals up to the light, and then a rainbow of colors filled his room. The brilliant reds danced and fought with the vibrant oranges, while the blue gracefully zoomed and danced with the green. Imagine having what he had.
Imagine having a whole rainbow in the palm of your hand.
Imagine your rainbow filling your room with its beauty and engulfing you in the warmth of color.
Imagine seeing all the colors dance around as you move your crystal prism around, in and out of the light of the burning sun.
But what if we couldn't see that.
What if our ability to see this gorgeous color never existed?
How could we be us?
Humans thrive on color. We use color to express ourselves, not only in personality, but moods too! The phrase, "I am feeling blue" would never have existed. We would live in a cruel world of black and white.
It would be as if we were all stuck in a movie from 1950.
Black.
White.
And boring.
But, to quickly change the subject, what if we aren't seeing every color? What if there is more than what we have already found? What if our rainbow isn't the only one to exist? Are we missing out on more than we realize? Are we looking at these new colors and not seeing them and their beauty? It is a downright shame that we might never know the answer to this question.
And I am sure than I am not alone when I say I wish I could see every color in existence.
I want to experience the beauty and warmth of it all.
But until we can find a way to do that, I'll be here blogging and wondering about colors.

Creator..?

Sometimes when I am bored, I go outside onto my yard and just look up at the stars.
I look at the bright, shining suns above me and find familular ones.
The Big Dipper,
Orion's Belt,
The North Star etc..
But have you ever wondered? Have you ever truly wondered where they came from? Besides our own beautiful Milkyway Galaxy, there are TONS of other galaxies out there. Galaxies with suns that are more than twice the size of ours! Galaxies with unexplored planets with unexplored terrain. But how did they all come to be?
How did our vast universe come to be?
Now, I'll say this now.
I'm not exactly what you would call "religious", so I don't believe that "HE"  made it all.
I look at it from a slightly science-y point of view. (I say "slightly" because right now, science can only tell us so much about Space and our universe.. So the other point of my view is, of course, ponderings.)
So, back to the topic, how can giant flaming balls just come to be? Where did all of the flying debris come from that seemed to create the majority of the planets? Where did the ice that are on asteroids come from? How can all of this just happen? Why did it all just happen? Where conditions just right and the time was "now"?
Are there beings from another dimension that put all of this in our dimension? What if all of this is a ploy?
What if our whole existence is a scam? A test? An expirament?
What if other beings created this whole Universe for us and then placed us here so that they can observe us? So maybe, if that's the case, some type of "HE" if did create this.
But why would these other dimension beings to that? Did they want to test their own technology and see if they could create a livable planet and successfully create a new race; the human race?
Since the beginning of time, people have always talked about Aliens and Gods and Other Worldy things... But what if those things were just our creators coming to visit us? Maybe they saw that we were gonna die out if we didn't get any help, a nudge in the right direction. But why would they care so much about us? If they made us, they can make others! Maybe even better beings than us humans!! I cannot answer that, and many other questions. All I can do is imagine and ponder.
But it is such a vast emptiness out there... It's no wonder we want to know about any life out there except our own. But we may never know the truth.
The truth of our existence,
The truth of our universe,
The truth of the truth.
These unanswered questions will probably haunt me forever.
But until that time, I'll be here.
Blogging away my thoughts and questions for you all to read and enjoy.

They're gonna die anyway, why take these precautions?

Why do they sterilize the needles for lethal injection?
This is honestly a great question.
They're going to die anyway, why take the time to make sure the needle is clean?
It wouldn't matter.
I guess there is always that small chance that if the person is going to donate their body to science, that anything on the needle could destroy or harm the body. But how? If the human is dead, nothing more can happen to it except decomposition, right?
This subject truly has more to it than meets the eye, and frankly, I don't know enough about the relationship between bacteria and the human body (whether it's dead or alive).
Granted, I am trying to think of ways that the in-sterilized needle can botch the donation, but I just cannot think of any.
My basic belief is, the body is dead, so there is nothing the harmful bacteria can do to it. Doesn't bacteria need something living to thrive? (Now, don't get me wrong, I realize bacteria is one of the man components to decomposition, but still..)
Now, I apologize for the short post, but my knowledge in this field is quite limited.
So i bid thee adieu.

Clone Murder or Clone Suicide?

If a person kills their clone is it murder or suicide?
this is an interesting thing because it can go both ways depending on how you look at it. Some people say it is murder because even though it is a clone, they are still 2 different beings. The experiences you live through shape your life even though you don't realize it at the moment. So, If you were cloned it is nearly impossible for your clone to live through the exact same experience and take away exactly what you did. It would be extremely difficult. Now, with that fact in mind, your clone would be very different from you. Sure you two share the same looks, but not the same personality. So, if you are killing them, you are killing, in a way, just your doppelganger. Doppelgangers are things/people that look like you, but their personality is different. So, it would be considered murder.
Other people would see it as suicide. Those who won't look at it through the eyes of science, won't see the large flaws of cloning. So they will say it is suicide because all they know about cloning is that it is a being that has the exact same genes as you do. With that in mind, they might automatically assume that, because of those genes, the clone will act and be exactly like you. So, they would see the killing of that clone as suicide; ridding the world of your other self.
This controversy can be argued over many times and almost forever. But I have shown both sides.
Now it is your turn.
What do you think?
What is your opinion?
Why?
When you are killing your clone, Are you committing murder?
Or is it just suicide?

Dream Saviors

What are these strange devices?
These odd, woven, feather decorated, items that hang from nails in a wall?
They say they catch the bad dreams and lets the good ones flow... But who can prove this? I guess no one can, but the idea that someone created this beautiful work of art is amazing.
What if in a different demension, the dreams that the dream catchers catch are held and alive...
Would that place be scary?? Like full of monsters, horrors, and other frightful things?
Or will it be filled with things we'd rather not think about whilst in our vacation escape that we call our dreams? Such as the bills, undone homework, or a love that isn't and will never work out?
Would it be a sorrowful place? Filled with the saddening memories of our lost loved ones? Are the dream catchers supposed to help us have better dreams?
Or are they really supposed to help us forget?
To help us forget everything that's burdening us, if only for a short while.
Does it give us that imaginary bliss of a perfect world?
Does it shelter us from evil?
Does it do anything at all?
Many people have their own opinions on this matter. Most think it's just spiritual mumbo-jumbo...
I think differently.
I think the natives knew something was going on with these magical little devices. I think they realized that it actually has these powers to help us.
That is why I actually own one; it hangs down from my ceiling fan, blowing in the constant wind.
Does it protect me?
I'd like to think so.
I, like many others, would love it I something could take away, even if it's only temporary, the badness of this world. The pain, the suffering, and allow only the bright happiness filter through like sun on a warm autumn day.
I think we all deserve that moment of happiness, for we all go through so much.
Maybe this thing is the key...
The key to clarity.
To health.
To happiness....

Kittens, Oh My!

Is it possible to force an animal to love you like its own parent? I know that for birds there is that whole "imprinting" thing, but what about animals like my own cat?
I have a cat named Roku. He is almost a year and a half old. He is a black and white farm cat I got for my birthday. I've known him since he was 2 weeks old.
To explain even further, ever since I was a child, I've wanted a pet of my very own. That means it has to love me the most and want to be around me.
So when I first saw Roku, I knew it had to start ASAP. So I started handling him a lot and making him comfortable In my presence. Now, when I took him home a month later, I told my whole family, "only I can feed him, give him water, play with him, change his litter box, and I must be the first person he sees everyday and the last one he sees."
My family thought I was crazy, but they obliged to my wishes.
So, in addition to the 100% me time with him, I also mimicked the sounds his mom would make to him.
Now Roku is older and he treats me like royalty. I'm his Favorite person in the household, he comes when I whistle/call his name, he loves my room, and he cuddles with only me.
Now, I know you would think that it is possible to force an animal to love you, but this is just one example. What if everything I did had no effect and he just likes me because he can?
Maybe he likes me cause I was the nicest to him. I mean, you can't force an animal to love you of you're cruel to them. That's just not possible (and it's mean too!!).
I don't know if what I did would work on other animals... I do notice that Roku adores my father. Is it because they're both males? Ya know... That odd male-bond-thing  that they all seem to have with each other... It's weird. Roku still prefers me, but he will sometimes choose my father over me. And nothing I do can change his opinion!
Maybe you can't force anything.
Maybe it's just the time spent and the memories made with the animal that really creates that bond. For love is true, especially when you both share an equal affection for each other.
(And in my case, Roku is my baby boy and I seem to be his mommy!)
Here is a nice picture of him sleeping on my bed while I write this blog entry.
His love is truley eternal.
Cats.
They're awesome.

Tattoos

Why are so many people against tattoos? What makes them hate the idea so much? Tattoos are just another form of art, why should it be hated? No one really hates painting or drawings, but they hate tattoos. A reason could be because this art is specifically on human skin and also the fact that it is permanent, however, art is art, no matter what type of media you use.
I can understand that there are a lot of dumb people in the world who get a lot of dumb and inappropriate tattoos, and when that is the case, I am against tattoos.
For example, I was at a waterpark a few years ago, waiting in line to go on a waterslide. An adult man was infront of me and i couldnt help but notice that he had a lot of tattoos on his body. This wouldn't have bothered me, however, I looked closer and saw multiple naked women.
That disgusted me.
Why would you tattoo multiple pictures of naked women on your body? Do you think you're cool? Do you think it will attract girls?
NO.
Nope.
NOT AT ALL.
It is freaking creepy. No one wants to see that!! It is gross and frankly that man looked like white trash.
Would I have wanted to strike up a conversation with that man?
HELL TO THE NO.
All becasue he had a ton of naked women tattooed on his arms and back.
However, If you are a fan of tattoos and you get beautiful pictures, I don't have any ill-feelings towards you.
Some tattoos can be dazzlingly beautiful.
These are nice examples of beautiful tattoos. These are works of art by a true artist.
Kudos to them.

Clouds

Clouds.
We all know what they are.
The fluffy, cotton ball like things that roam our skies.
We love them.
We hate them.
But we always notice them.
Sometimes on nice summer days, we curse them because we want the sun to tan our skin.
On cool fall days, we love them and their fluffy being. So beautiful against the pale blue sky. How they float however they want and wherever they want. Their being is truly free. Wouldn't we love to be up there? Be up there among the cotton and clean air? Where there isn't any sound to disrupt that beautiful moment that you and the clouds have.
Just icy, weightless bliss.
But what if clouds were solid enough to hold us? What if we could just zoom up there with our friends and enjoy a nice little picnic on top of the clouds? Would it be like jumping on a trampoline? Could we bounce around, to and fro, as if we were weightless?
Weightless with no cares in the world?
Maybe there is a castle in the sky. A magical castle that is built out of clouds and floats around.
wouldn't that be something else? I would want to visit that castle.
Befriend the person who owns it.
Because why not?
We all like our clouds anyway.

Mindless Persiflage

Just as the title says, this is just a random collection of thoughts and conversations i have with my subconsciousness.
Now, as I am frantically trying to type down four separate blogs, i cannot help but wonder why.
Why am I doing this?
Why is my school forcing me to do this?
Of course it's for the grade, but i find myself, every week, wracking my brain for things to ponder about. It truly is a hard thing to do. I admit some topics are less appealing than others, but then again i was desperate because i needed a good grade.
It is actually sad that this is graded. It puts a lot of pressure on us. What if our topic isn't satisfactory to our teacher?
Well, I actually know that experience. Originally I wanted this blog to be about me drawing things, posting them, and adding a short story to every drawing. I loved this idea.
I was so ecstatic, that i didn't come up with any other ideas to present to the teacher.
I was so sure she'd love it.
But, alas, she didn't.
Naturally I was quite down heartened. That idea was flawless, it was something i would've enjoyed doing.
But now, I am blogging about my thoughts.
Of course, I'd rather do this than blog about a concrete subject, But it's nnothing compared to my original idea.
Now, to quickly switch gears, Let's talk about this place.
I have only a few followers, yet others view me.
I wonder what draws them to my sad excuse for a blog.
It is quite pathetic really. Most entries are just rushed and mindless opinions on things.
None if it seems to mean anything.
And yet, strangers read it anyway. Don't get me wrong, I love getting views. However, I just want to know why.
Why my page?
Did one of my pitiful topics snag your attention?
If so, thank you for reading it. I'm surprised any one is reading this blog at all! It is funny how some things can appeal to others, while at the same time revolting the rest of us.
Again, I thank you for bearing with me, and until next week, blog on!!

Death and His Friends

You wanna know what is really weird?
Death.
We are all gonna die.
Seriously.
Let that sink in.
You.
Will.
Die.
Well, probably not now, but eventually.
Eventually, your existence as a person will disappear from the face of this earth.
Gone.
Forever.
Think about it, you will (hopefully) be lying in a hospital bed, wheezing for air, and suddenly POOF!
You're gone.
Is it a sudden thing, like turning off a light?
Or is it gradual, like the drying up of a stream?
Do you meet anything right before you go?
Or is it just empty blackness into the eternal nothingness?
Does your life really flash before your eyes?
Or do you not even have the chance to do that?
If you sit down and imagine yourself zooming through time to the day where you die, will you be able to accept that fate then and there? Can you accept the fact that not only you will die, but every one you see now? Every friend you've made, every stranger you have glimpsed, every single one will die.
Every single one will end up either rotting in an extremely expensive wooden box, or be burnt to a crisp and left to catch dust on someones mantle.
Can you look someone in the eye and think "You're going to die."?
Those beautiful eyes that are filled with life, can you just imagine them being dull?
Can you imagine those eyes being life-less and lacking in that color you love oh, so much?
Can you accept the truth?
It is truly a scary thing.
Sitting here, typing this, I am just floating in all of this.
All of this truth is surrounding my head like water.
It may not be what you want to hear,
It may not be what you want to accept.
But death will happen to you and everyone around you.

Opinions

It is quite amazing to think that a species that is made so similar, can be so different in more ways than one.
The Human race is all built the same. Same limbs, same emotions, same organs, lots of it is the same.
However,e humans aren't the same. Our noses are different, our eye color is different, our height is different, our skin color is different, and most importantly,
Our opinions are different.
oh, sure, some people may share the same opinions, but maybe they don't share the same reason for supporting those opinions. And what's more,
We get defensive about them as well.
"oh, you don't like chocolate? How can you not like chocolate? chocolate, is like, the best thing in the world!!!" example one. Not being able to accept their opinion on something and trying to persuade them to like yours. It doesn't work very well, but we still do it.
For a personal example, I have many close friends who don't like cats.
I own four cats.
Now, when i first told them i have cats, they all reacted the same; That look on their face of "Oh come on, seriously? cats?" and them hastily explaining why they don't like cats.
However, i assured them that most likely the only reason they don't like cats os becasue they don't know hwo to act around them. Then i told them that my cats are trained not to bite, hiss scratch, or do anything to harm or scare people. They weren't very assured, but when they finally came over, I introduced them to Desmond, my 7 year old farm tabby cat. He's quite fat, but he is also the nicest cat you'll ever meet.
You literally could pull him around by his tail on a wood floor and he won't do anything to stop you. He is basically a teddy bear.
So, when my hesitant friends met him, they instantly fell in love with him. I've convinced them to even kiss him on the nose.
Now, i tried to persuade them to believe that cats are awesome, and even though i put up four good cases, they still say, "I only like you're cats.... all the other ones are mean."
So, that goes to show that you can try to persuade others to believe your opinion, and you can even have flawless evidence, but they still will probably stick to their own opinion.

OverThinking

Our mind is a powerful thing.
We think we can tame it by expiraments and tests... We are mistaken. I have the feeling that we will never fully understand our brain. The things it can do are outstanding.
If you're injured, it can block the pain.
If you're scared, it can make you see things that don't exist.
If you're happy, you can replay that memory over and over again till your hearts content.
It can do a lot of amazing things.
But within this power, there are downsides.
Over-thinking.
It gets us all.
It only takes a small stimulus to set us off, but once we're off, so is our mind.
We build upon that tiny stimulus. We assume things that aren't true.
We wreck ourselves.
And for what?
What does this Over-Thinking accomplish?
How can it aid us?
Easy.
It doesn't.
All it does is create chaos within our already chaotic mind.
That fire doesn't need any more kindling.
But why do we do it? What possesses us to create false things?
Again, that is a question I cannot answer. Perhaps the human race will never be able to answer it.
Shame.
We could save a lot of things if we could just figure out why our minds tend to wander and cause destruction.
But, like I said before, the mind isn't meant to be fully understood.

Adventure In my BackYard

Well, not to disappoint you, but this isn't exactly in my backyard. It's actually in my neighborhood, but I call it my "backyard" anyway.
So, for those of you who have read The Hunger Games, you know that Katniss and Gale escape past the "electric" fence to a world beyond their district 12. The same thing, in a way, can be said for me.
In the bowels of my neighborhood, lies an old, red gate with the sign "NO TRESPASSING" hanging on it. You can climb over it and you land on an old dirt road that has been literally carved into the earth by years of wear and tear.
You're in the deep woods now.
As you walk down this old road, you come across a mossy pond that is usually noisy with frogs, but as you walk by, they all go silent. You then come to a clearing, the meadow, and you are on the top of a hill, overlooking the meadow and surrounding forest.
You can't hear any cars.
You can't hear any people.
You just heat nature.
I usually find myself venturing back here a lot in the spring, summer, and fall time. The seasons do such wonders to this place of bliss and I adore going there. I sometimes lay down a blanket and  just nap for awhile. The peacefulness of it is almost overwhelming, but you can't stop going.
It draws you.
I can hear it calling my name everyday.
Calling me back.
Begging me to visit soon.
Winter is the toughest season because I cannot visit it.
I miss it dearly. The snow makes it difficult to trek into the woods. However, when spring comes, I go there the first chance I get.
It is my getaway.
My great escape.

Ferocious Fandom

If you are not already familiar with what a "Fandom" is, it is a group of people who all adore the same story. That story can be a book, TV show, movie, and anything in-between! It stands for "Fans Kingdom". There in that kingdom, the fans can chatter about their favorites things without being ridiculed or judged.
EVERYONE is accepted in a fandom.
Now think, are you a huge fan of a movie series, book series, or TV series?
If so, then you are part of that fandom. If you ever want to rant about your show, just go online, find a blogging site (I highly recommend Tumblr) and just rant. Your fellow Fandomites will accept you!!
Personally, I am in a lot of Fandoms. I am in the Harry Potter Fandom, The Hunger Games Fandom, Fullmetal Alchemist Fandom, Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra Fandom, and Attack on Titan Fandom. That's a lot of things to be involved in!! but it is so much fun!!
However, I must give you a fair warning, some people can get pretty serious when it comes to who they "ship".
Shipping is the way you and other  people picture the characters in your show in a relationship. Personally, I am a sucker for whatever is canon. "Canon" is the term referring to a relationship that the author/writer/director/whatever originally paired together. For example, Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley are "canon". But some people think Harry should've ended up with Hermione. In that case, they ship HarryxHermione together. This IS NOT canon!!! Don't be afraid to express your ships proudly though!!! You can like whatever you like (Like, come on guys. Jinora and Skootchy are TOTALLY adorable together!!!!) Some people will agree and some won't, but you'll always be accepted (well, as long as you accept others, that is...)
SO.
I hope you have realized what Fandoms you are in.
Odds are, you are in one! Don't be afraid! EMBRACE YOUR INNER FAN.
It's alright! Fandoms are quite fun indeed!! :)
